Nando's EXTRA HOT DROP

Lead creative behind Nando’s first ever wearing (not edible) line - the extra hot drop. From concept to delivery this was a once-in-a-creatives-career-lifetime kinda project. We wanted to create something that felt deeply connected to the brand - that felt truly ownable, collectable and authentically Nando’s - definitely not merch for merch’s sake.

Being the purveyors of heat (and with a little nod to some decent Y2K trends about), we created wearables that - with the magic of heat-reactive dyes - changed colour when things got spicy. For a summertime launch, we led with tees, jumpers, socks and bucket hats - each available in colour-ways inspired by spice levels: Extra Hot, Hot, Medium, Lemon & Herb or Plainish - crafted using thermochromic inks.

An unexpected and highly anticipated product from a cult-classic brand shot and modelled by well-loved social stars Niko B, comedian Jack Joseph, Sidemen’s Tobi, model Madeline Argy and radio presenter Tara Kumar, meant things sold out within 24hrs.
